Chelated calcium is a highly efficient form of calcium fertilizer where the calcium ion is bound to an organic molecule, known as a chelating agent. This process protects the calcium from reacting with other elements in the soil, ensuring it remains stable and readily available for plant uptake. This is a significant advantage over non-chelated calcium sources, which can become insoluble and "locked up" in certain soil conditions.

How chelated calcium works :

Improved mobility: Unlike regular calcium, which is largely immobile in plants and soil, certain chelating agents like sugar alcohol can help move the calcium throughout the plant's tissues.
